11/18/11 - At the Lakeside annual homeowners' meeting on November 17, 2011 three new members were elected to serve on the Lakeside Improvement Association (LIA) Board.  The three homeowners are Dennis Kittler, Robbie Perry and Debbie Timmerman.  In addition, Jim Logan, director of Recreation, was re-elected for a new three year term.   We thank these wonderful folks for offering their service to the Lakeside community.

The new access cards for the LIA recreation facilities are here.  This new card will give all residents access to the park, and access to the tennis courts and pool, if you currently have a swim card and/or tennis court key assigned to you. Call the LIA office at 713-977-2812 if you need to make special arrangements to get your card.
                                          
NEW RESIDENTS can download the tennis and pool applications from www.lakeside-improvement.org/documents.  Follow the directions on the application(s) and the LIA office will contact you when your card is ready.

10/20/2010 - Lakeside Improvement Association has installed a drop box on the clubhouse porch at 2000 Lakeside Estates Dr. The box provides a central location for residents to leave forms and correspondence that require attention from the LIA office or the board of directors. This box replaces the one at 10910 Overbrook.

Although the metal Drop Box is locked and not readily visible from the street, LIA cannot guarantee that it is theft-proof.

Therefore, residents should continue to mail their annual Maintenance Assessment payments to the LIA post office box, and residents who choose to drop off checks with forms for swim cards, tennis keys, clubhouse rentals, etc., can contact the LIA office at 713-977-2812 or via email to ensure their correspondence and/or check was received.  The LIA office admistrator's email address is listed on the contacts page.

The box is checked twice daily at 9 a.m. and 5 p.m., Monday through Friday.

8/26/2010 - As summer draws to a close, the top of the news still involves crime. Luckily suspects involved with the burglary of several homes have been arrested. Please see the security news page for a letter from HPD regarding the actions.

2/3/2009 - Website improvements

Many changes and enhancements have been made to the website in all different areas. Changes include the addition of new pages to meet the needs of LIA board members, reorganization of the main menu, fix of several broken links, and the repair of the formatting on several pages which all suffered from the same problem where text was displayed but not arrainged correctly and no images were displayed.

2/1/2008 - Security Alerts

We are currently establishing an email list for the distribution of neighborhood crime and securty news. The list is being tested now. When it is deemed to be fully operational, an announcement will be made in the newsetter and on the clubhouse sign.

11/20/2008 - LIA Annual Meeting

The LIA Annual meeting was a success. The audience, which included about 15 attendees from the neighborhoods, listened to the LIA boardmembers and directors present an oveview of the past year's activities from grounds repairs, to hurricane Ike cleanup, to deed restriction discussion. Delicious refreshments were served as well. Thanks to everyone who attended, and we'd love to see you at next year's annual meeting as well as a few of the monthly meetings. Everyone is invited to attend both the yearly meeting and the monthly LIA meetings to learn more about how the neighborhood is run and what you can do to help. We always need volunteers for the LIA board as well as various committee positions.

11/6/2008 - Thanks to Ray Nachlinger for producing and hosting the first Lakeside website for several years! Our new site is up and running and I hope that both LIA and LCA members will take the time to occasionally post updates to the site. -Ken Blair
